Awaken ("the app", "we") is a real-life fitness RPG. We built it to keep your personal data private. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how it is used.
Awaken has an optional global leaderboard. If you opt in, your chosen Hunter name, level, streak, rank tier, and profile picture (if set) are visible to other signed-in players. You control this: you can turn "Show me on the leaderboard" off at any time in Profile — which removes your entry — and you can change or remove your Hunter name and profile picture whenever you like. Chosen names are filtered for offensive content, and players can report an inappropriate name or picture in the app. Everything else about your account (email, progress, health data, quest photos) stays private and is never shown to other users.
Your account and progress are stored securely with Supabase and protected by row-level access rules so that only your account can read your private data. Your session token is kept in the device's secure keychain. Apple Health data and quest-photo checks are processed on your device. Leaderboard information you opt to share is stored so it can be displayed to other players; profile pictures are held in a dedicated storage area for that purpose.
Awaken offers an optional auto-renewing subscription (Awaken Pro) with a free trial. Payments are processed by Apple; we never receive your card details. Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID account settings.
Awaken is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from inside the app: open Profile → Delete Account and confirm. You can also email us to request deletion. Deleting the app alone removes on-device data but not your synced account.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "last updated" date.
